Whitedene, Gleneagles
When Jen & Alastair Hughes found the perfect site, situated in a stunning location with breathtaking views and access to Gleneagles, they jumped at the opportunity to embark on a project to replace an existing house, with what would become their potential forever home.
They reached out to Denholm Partnership, an architect practice based in Comrie, Perthshire. Specialists in creating inspiring designs that truly integrate with their rural surroundings, meant they were the perfect choice for this project.
"The goal was to create a modern interior with a traditionally designed exterior, which maximised the natural light and surrounding views whilst retaining privacy for the client. We were working with the original house footprint location but were able to re-orientate the house to have a good connection to the externals and garden. It was important that the layout of the house created a comfortable flow with the internal spaces appropriately designed in terms of volume and space."
"We are very pleased with the final result; the finishes are of a high quality and with a modern, clean aesthetic" describes the architect, Ellen.
So why choose Rationel?
“Rationel products were recommended to us by our builder, Stephen. We are delighted with them. They are good at soundproofing and look visually great in the dark grey colour we chose. We love the ventilation options, and they are super easy to open and close.” Says Jen.
The house was built by Stephen Gardiner Construction, based in Auchterarder, who Jen boasts is “the best builder you could ever have - can’t recommend him more highly!”
Working with ADW
"We have dealt with ADW over many years which is a testament to their service. We find ADW easy to deal with when going through the ordering process. Everything is plain and simple to understand, and they provide help when decisions must be made. We feel confident when sending clients down to the showroom that they will be looked after. In addition, the products supplied are fantastic, and the delivery to site is always on time". explains Stephen.
